I’m Carol Walton and I currently live in Meadville, Pennsylvania. I have been an LPN for 30 years. I homeschooled my children for 18 years. Then, I put the younger ones in a private education. That freed me up to have some “me time” that I probably haven’t had for 30 years. It was a desire that I’ve always had. I decided I wanted to go on to be an RN.
It took me four months to finish my last course, so it took me a little longer than it probably would have, which is the benefit of Rue - you can work when you can.
I like all of the study guide questions, because you are writing everything out, and writing helps get it in your head. I also love the questions because I really do well when I can review by answering questions.
I chose Rue, number one, because financially it was better. I had looked into going to college but it was going to be expensive, plus I still have three children at home that I need to take care of, and it would have put a lot of stress on the family. Rue looked good for be because I can stay at home and study when my children are at home. That’s my greatest time of study and yet, I’m accomplishing the same goal.
I’m 55 years old and I am just excited that at 55 years old I can do this ... and that I’m doing as well as I have done. It’s just an encouragement that even at 55 years old, you can move forward. You can advance.
