Rue Education Announces First Loan Forgiveness Guarantee

Rue Education (rueeducation.com), the country’s largest provider of distance learning systems for nurses, announces the industry’s first Interactive Learning Guarantee, which grants loan forgiveness to adult learners who do not pass an exam taken within 30 days of completing Rue’s online tutor-led session associated with that particular exam.

 

To receive the guarantee, ASN students must have properly completed all assignments, pre-tests and practice final exams, posted in all discussion threads, passed all end-of-week exams, and participated in the online tutoring session in a manner that reflects a good-faith academic approach and desire to learn the material. Each online session is facilitated by a Ph.D. or Master-educated tutor, who guides the learning process on a daily basis.

 

“Our clients are working adults, balancing the demands of job and family,” says Mike Dykstra, CEO of Rue Education. “We understand that these external challenges can sometimes interfere with their ability to pass final exams and we want to give them real alternatives.”

 

Nursing students experiencing difficulty in passing will be given three options under the terms of the Interactive Learning Guarantee:

·         Repeat the online session at no additional cost. This can be done up to two times within 18 months.

·         Continue existing payments on their contract, but switch to another of Rue’s Total Learning Systems.

·         Terminate their contract after full payment has been received for all completed learning systems; thereafter, foregoing any remaining balance on the contract.

 

“Locking nurses into long-term contracts has long been a failed practice of study guide publishers,” says Dykstra. “However, Rue’s focus as an education services provider has prompted us to create a guarantee that gives struggling nursing students more chances for success.”

 

If the purchaser chose to receive multiple Learning Systems at one time and a study guide and/or textbooks(s) are revised prior to taking that exam, the buyer must purchase the revised Learning Systems in order for the Interactive Learning Guarantee to be honored for that specific Learning System. Rue’s guarantee does not cover performance examinations including, but not limited to, CPNE, TPE, HAPE, or PSPE.
